Description: Anesthesia Consultants of Augusta is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Anesthesiologist to join our dynamic team. As a critical member of our surgical and procedural care team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients before, during, and after their procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer anesthesia (general, regional, or local) to patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and adjust anesthetics as needed to ensure patient safety.
Collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Evaluate patients preoperatively to determine the appropriate anesthetic plan and manage postoperative pain.
Provide life support and airway management during emergency situations.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting anesthesia administration and patient responses.
Stay current with the latest advancements in anesthesiology and participate in continuous education and training.
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
Board Certified/Eligible in Anesthesiology. Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of Georgia.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
Strong understanding of anesthetic drugs, techniques, and equipment.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
