Job Description:

Anesthesia Consultants of Augusta is seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our collaborative healthcare team. As a CRNA, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and care of our patients undergoing various surgical and procedural interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthesia (general, regional, or local) to patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures.

  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and anesthesia levels, making adjustments as necessary to maintain patient safety and comfort.

  • Conduct thorough preoperative assessments to determine appropriate anesthetic plans based on patient health and procedure type.

  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care throughout procedures.

  • Provide critical life support and airway management during emergency situations.

  • Manage postoperative pain and assist with recovery plans.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia administration and patient responses in accordance with healthcare regulations.

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in anesthesia care and participate in continuous professional development and education.

  • Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards to deliver the highest quality

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.

  • Current CRNA certification through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).

  • Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licenses in the state of Georgia.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.

  • Strong understanding of anesthetic drugs, techniques, and equipment.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
